MARKETING VS ADVERTISING
Although nowadays advertising and marketing are basic elements for the wellness of a business organisation, and generally of the economy, there is still a great amount of people that confuses their meaning. It is very important for us to know the difference between them because the more aware we are about business definitions, the more successful we can be.
To understand the difference between marketing and advertising lets see each component's definition separately, what each component is and what it does.
Advertising: is the paid public communication through selected media, that provides non- personal messages from an organisation(sender) to the consumer(receiver). If this method of promotion provides a comprehensive message, then it will achieve to reach a large number of people.
Marketing: Is the process of planning how to provide products and services in a way that can satisfy customers. It is composed by advertising, public relations , market research, media planning, product pricing, distribution, customer support, sales strategy, and community involvement.
Now that we have seen each component separated, we can realise separated, we can realise that confusing them can be a great mistake for our business.
It is obvious now, that advertising is just a substitute of marketing mix. It is the part that inform us about a product or a service, taking in advantage and all the other components of marketing process.
